Tourism Communities fund update – 1000 more business may be eligible, and are yet to register.
Regional Business Partners (RBP) still has funding available in a number of regions. Below is the latest update from their team about what is available, the requirements for eligibility and where it is available:
“There is still funding available, and there will be for a while yet. We are expecting this fund to run through to at least September 2022, so you are not too late.
One of the key criteria for support is that at least 50% of operational output is purchased by tourists (domestic or international). This can include service businesses whose output is purchased by tourism businesses. The business must be physically located in the Queenstown Lakes District, Southland District, Kaikōura District, Mackenzie District or Westland District. We have a local team of Growth Advisors ready to walk every business through the process of getting their individual support. So far we have supported 698 businesses with this funding. There are up to 1,000 more businesses that may be eligible, so please share this with friends, family, colleagues, and acquaintances!”
